Lexington Kentucky Does Not Turn in Expansion Bid.
A group of potential investors from Lexington Ky decided at the last minute to not turn in a bid for an expansion team. The group, chaired by horse racing legend/burbon tycoon Matt Gunterman announced they ran into several problems.
"Well, primarily, we had troubles trying to work out the blueprints for turning legendary University of Kentucky basketball arena Rupp Arena into an outdoor stadium," announced Gunterman. "Oh, and we also realized nobody in Kentucky likes Soccer."
The announcement is seen as a boost for the group from Monkey's Eyebrow Kentucky to submit a bid next season.
